Cafe by the Bay
archival print of watercolor 11"x 15

Whenever I travel, I bring my watercolors. I scout out my surroundings and decide where I'll go to dinner later in the evening. I found this cafe in the city of Russel, Bay of Islands, North Island, New Zealand. Dinner was Orange Roughy. I came back. The flowers are bougainvillaea. There was a cat in the window who was most friendly.

The Empowering Spot I, II, and III

framed as if looking out a Victorian window.
signed & numbered - $500.

Wild Iris is our first flower to blossom after winter. Like mushrooms they grow in circular patterns. The rings pop up in the most unexpected places - energizing surprises. I embellish each print with silver leaf that reflects light like puddles of rain between the leaves.

April Day

Who would have thunk a bog flower could be so evocative of seduction. These are blatent lovers, wet and profuse. Yummy! To me they give "verdant" greater meaning. I hand emblish each print with a copper leaf at the top of each print what could be called a sunset.

The Clam Diggers
archival print of 2 watercolor 11"x 15

I love water. If I could discribe my soul it would be - water. Watercolors and I get along. I sketch and record my paints at the moment - I follow through with a lot of photos. It all adds into the mix. This painting is a composite of all the components of a vacation by the beach.

Home
archival print of watercolor 11"x 15

I lived in this house in Tonga - Pangumoto Island. Three square meals and all the beer I could drink, MINE for over two weeks - $19 a day. I'm so glad I painted it during a two month excursion into the South Pacific. I've over twenty paintings of that time. Let me know if you want to see more work from there. I need any excuse to get back.

Painting, printmaking, sculpting, writing, I put all my experiences together to make clear my feelings/thoughts of being really alive. I have 22 etchings of my cats in heat and images of all the cats I have lived with as angels. I have greeting cards here at the gallery. My large (wall sized) oils and acrylics have appeared at Northcoast Gallery for the past four years, and I get experimental with mixed media using the computer. My archival prints of my South Pacific and New Zealand Journals are currently featured in the gallery.
